Eclipse

Mitsubishi Eclipse in Orlando: Different for a Reason!

Maybe you’re looking to drive something different. To stand out, to cut through the clutter. To drive a vehicle that’s more fully-loaded -with far more bang-for-your-buck- than most vehicles in its class. The 2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse fits that bill exceptionally well, with its exotic styling, new creature comforts, more MPG, and black roof that pays homage to the first Eclipse ever.

Overview

Reawaken your will to drive. In the 2011 Eclipse, available at your Orlando Mitsubishi dealer, the aggressive, exotic styling is perfectly complemented with performance-enhancing features like efficient & powerful MIVEC engines, a lower sport suspension and the smooth automatic shifting of a Sportronic Automatic Transmission.

  • Black-out Roof
  • 18″ alloy wheels
  • Six standard airbags
  • 650-watt Rockford-Fosgate audio system
  • 28-mpg, 162-hp MIVEC or 265-hp MIVEC V6

Sport Suspension

However unnecessary, improvements have been made. For 2011, we’ve lowered the suspension of Eclipse about half an inch. Now that might seem like a small number but, this one modification makes a big difference—both in the look and performance characteristics—of this unique coupe. With a lower center of gravity, Eclipse’s already world-class handling and aero efficiency gets even better—and it doesn’t come at the expense of occupant comfort.

Mitsubishi believes that there’s absolutely no reason why you have to sacrifice performance for fuel economy. Which is exactly the point of our Mitsubishi Innovative Valve Timing Electronic Control (MIVEC) engines. In the 2011 Eclipse, you’ll find a powerful and efficient 162-horsepower, 2.4-liter MIVEC 4-cylinder power plant or an acceleration-minded 265 horsepower MIVEC V6. We’re talking about an engine improved to get an economical 28 miles per gallon or an engine with enough power and torque to get you from zero to fast in a hurry.

Safety

Sometimes the things that make a high-performance car are the same things that make a safer car. A rigid platform. An advanced anti-lock braking system. A sure-footed, nimble-handling vehicle. An advanced airbag system. Eclipse is a unique vehicle that satisfies both your driving passions and your safety† needs.

Advanced Airbag System

Eclipse’s six-airbag safety system includes advanced front SRS airbags*, front-seat-mounted side-impact airbags and side-curtain airbags for front seat occupants. All are standard and each was carefully positioned based on extensive crash testing and simulation.

Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD)

The ABS technology used by the Eclipse helps to eliminate wheel lock-up during panic or emergency braking. Wheel speed is monitored and braking pressure is optimized when impending wheel lock-up is sensed. The system “pulses” the brakes up to 10 times per second, modulating wheel rotation to help eliminate lock-up and maximize driver control.
